THE DEPARTMENT OF URBAN PLANNING AND ENGINEERING
Who We Are
Since its establishment in 1989, the Department of Urban Planning and Engineering at Pusan national University aims to cultivate talent and intellect to develop the insight, knowledge, and technical skills needed to deal effectively with the challenges of contemporary urban life – the impact of rapid urbanization; continuing inequities and social injustice; the scarcity of resources; and the vulnerability to climate change. To cope with the complex nature, the program prepares students with a comprehensive understanding, in both theory and practice, of multiple forces that shape the well-being of regions, cities, and neighborhoods. Our pedagogic endeavor encourages students to explore, learn and thrive in various processes of shaping an urban environment.
